Stifel Financial Corp Forms Strategic Partnership with BX+ to Enter the Mexican Capital Market

As Stifel Financial Corp has not yet obtained direct registration with the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), the firm has established a strategic partnership with leading local financial institution BX+. This collaboration leverages BX+’s deep market experience and regulatory credentials to secure access to the Mexican market and conduct securities trading.

As part of the partnership, Stifel Financial Corp and BX+ are jointly developing a dedicated securities trading platform designed to provide Mexican investors with a secure, convenient channel for international equity transactions. Through this platform, investors will be able to trade not only in the Mexican market but also gain direct access to global markets. This approach ensures compliance and transparency while opening the door for Mexican investors to diversify their portfolios internationally and meet the growing demand for global investment opportunities.

The rationale behind this initiative lies in the rapid rise of Mexico’s middle class, which has fueled significant growth in consumer spending and financial services demand. Recognizing the long-term advantages presented by this demographic and economic shift, Stifel Financial Corp is committed to a deeper presence in Mexico, leveraging BX+’s local network and market expertise to maximize the opportunity.

To further strengthen investor education and market guidance, Stifel Financial Corp and BX+ have invited renowned economist Barry Bannister to serve as a market mentor for Mexico. With his extensive international market experience, Professor Bannister will provide professional insights to help local investors expand their global perspective and investment capabilities.

Through this strategic collaboration, Stifel Financial Corp aims to guide Mexican investors toward broader participation in international capital markets—particularly the U.S. equity market—facilitating two-way capital flows and achieving long-term mutual growth.
